The Registry | Carpet and Tile Installation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Conceived and built with ‘unrivaled residences’, ‘uncompromising extras’, and ‘pure opulence’, The Registry, a luxury Fort Lauderdale apartment building is rivaling the area’s most celebrated residences.
When it came to the new flooring, The Registry wanted to bolster their high-end apartment building without having to spend an exorbitant amount, the cost of which would have probably ended up being passed along to the residents. In terms of the design process, what we brought to the table were the options that led to the beautiful finished product that is evident in the photos. East Coast Flooring supplied and installed every single tile, carpeting, or vinyl that you see on the floors and walls. The challenging and unique aspects of this particular project were the large size of the tiles. The flooring and walls involved a lot of 24”x48” pieces, 48”x48” pieces, and porcelain slabs up to 48”x108”.
In terms of materials, our team worked with the design and construction team for The Registry to decide on porcelain tile and slabs, a combination of broadloom carpet and carpet tile, interior installation and exterior amenity decks, custom gym flooring, and additional details. As the flooring experts, it falls to us to ensure that all flooring and walls are waterproof, sound-regulated, and level throughout the building. In situations such as these, having the chance to advise the development team on subfloor preparation is preferred, so the fact that we were able to do so with the team at The Registry was crucial to the success of the end product.
In the hallways and offices, we installed 5,400 square yards of carpet, and in the fitness area, we installed 2,100 square feet of vinyl and rubber flooring. The challenge here was to cohesively fit and install the two different products together as the designer originally intended, but the angles and long adjoining line made it tricky for even the most practiced and skilled professionals.
And finally, on the floors, we installed 28,000 square feet of spectacular tile, and on the walls, we installed 4,000 square feet of herringbone and custom-patterned tile. All in all, we are very proud of the finished product and what our team was able to achieve with The Registry.
